Pastor Willie Joshua Montague was born and raised in Morehead City, NC on December 12, 1987 at Carteret General Hospital. His mother is Katrina Annette Montague and his father is Ronald Earl Montford Sr. He was dedicated to the Lord at Faith Tabernacle of Praise International Ministries by Bishop Donald M. Crooms, Sr., it was prophesied when he was about two years old that he would become a preacher. When Pastor Montague was about 5 years old, he was sent to his great-grandmother Maggie Becton Bell of Morehead City, NC. He remained there as she raised him and taught him the fundamentals of life.

Pastor Montague attended St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church  for seventeen years. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on June of 1997. He faithfully served such capacities as Choir Director, Usher, Deacon, and Armor Bearer. After realizing there was a higher call on his life he followed God’s direction, resigned from St. Luke, and joined Praise International. He was filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues on August 2001. He attended Praise International for 3yrs.

He graduated from West Carteret High School in 2006 as being Freshmen Class President, Sophomore Class President, Junior Commissioner of Men Athletics, Senior Advisor, King of the African American History Club, Chairman of the Teenage Republicans, on the Bicycle Plan committee, ran for County Commissioner, and was on the DECA TEAM. He won the H.O.B.Y. Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Award for his high school. And it is apparent that Pastor Montague manifested an enthusiasm for displaying the Word of God in his school, home, and throughout his community, even as a youth.

In 2004, he started the non-profit organization, Bright, Loving, Awesome, Caring, Kids Gatherings (B.L.A.C.K.). Subsequent establishing B.L.A.C.K., God gave him the name of his next ministry, Renaissance Outreach Ministries, where he is the founder and pastor. He held services daily. There were many saved, numerous healings, as well as deliverances. It was there that he had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ; where he learned of His plan for his life.
